ADMISSION CRITERIA FOR GRADUATE PROGRAMS
(APRIL 2004)

The Department
of Food Engineering has the right to update the Admission
Criteria without prior notice, based on the applicant load
or the Departmental Policies.

TOTAL SCORE:
Total score is calculated to rank the applicants who
fulfill the below requirements.

DEFICIENCY PROGRAM:
The candidates who fulfil the Admission Criteria but not
graduated from METU Department of Food Engineering are admitted
the Deficiency Program prior to the Graduate Program. The
program is for one semester and consists of two courses,
FDE 201 and FDE 224 (or FDE 321). The candidate should complete
the program successfully (see the academic rules and regulations
of the Graduate School of Natural and Applied Sciences,
Article 5/e) in order to start the regular Graduate Program
(effective from Fall'05).

The candidates who do not fulfil the minimum
requirements of the School of Natural and Applied Sciences
(ODTÜ İYS, min. 65, TOEFL, min. 190, etc.) are admitted to
the Graduate Program, conditionally. The condition is the
completion of the English Preparation Program, successfully.
